Do you need to travel with an assistance animal ? Guide dogs for visually impaired, hearing impaired individuals, and other assistance animals are welcome on our flights free of charge. Find all the necessary information here to prepare for your trip.

Who can travel with an assistance animal ?

Passengers requiring the presence of an assistance animal due to a physical, emotional, or psychological disability can travel with their companion, provided the required documentation is submitted. A second seat is then reserved free of charge for the assistance animal.

Transport conditions

To ensure a pleasant and safe journey for you, your assistance animal, and other passengers, certain transport conditions must be respected. Here’s what you need to know before booking:

You and your loyal companion must travel together on the same flight.
On board, your animal stays in the cabin by your side. It is placed on the floor near the additional seat to avoid obstructing the aisle. Under no circumstances can it occupy the additional seat. Your animal can travel without a muzzle or container but must always remain on a leash to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.

At the time of booking and at every stage of your journey, you must be able to provide the following documents :

If you cannot present these documents, your companion will not be recognized as an assistance animal and will be subject to the usual conditions for animals in the cabin or in the hold.

How to book ?

As the number of assistance animals allowed per flight is limited, it is essential to book your ticket in advance. This reservation can only be made at an Air Moana agency or by phone.

What is the baggage allowance ?

Please note, the allocation of a second seat does not entitle you to an additional baggage allowance.
