Check-in and boarding
Are you traveling soon with Air Moana ? Discover important information about the different check-in options and the deadlines for arriving at the check-in counters and boarding gate.
For a smooth departure, we recommend arriving at the airport early. This will give you ample time to check in, drop off your luggage if necessary, pass through security checks (only at Tahiti-Faa’a Airport), and reach your flight’s boarding gate calmly.
Online check-in
From 30 hours before departure up to 1 hour before your flight, you can check in online to obtain your boarding pass, which you can either print or download to your phone or tablet.
- If you are traveling with checked baggage, you must go to the Air Moana check-in counters at the airport to drop off your luggage. Please ensure you arrive at the counters.
- If you are traveling with carry-on luggage only, once your online check-in is complete, you can proceed directly to your boarding gate with your boarding pass, a valid ID, and any other required travel documents. Please report to the boarding counter at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
To check in online, follow these steps :

- Select your flights and passengers
- Download or print your boarding pass
Please note that online check-in is unfortunately not available in the following cases :
- Groups and charters
- Passengers using the Unaccompanied Minor service
- Passengers traveling with a pet or service animal
- Passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility
Check-in and Baggage Drop-off at Counters
You can check in and drop off your checked baggage directly with our ground staff at the Air Moana counters at the departure airport. To do so, you must present a valid ID along with any other documents required for your situation (e.g., disability card, medical certificate, specific form, etc.).
At Tahiti-Faa’a Airport
The check-in counters are located at counters 21-43 in the international terminal.
- Check-in counter opening: 1 hour 30 minutes before your flight's departure time.
- Check-in counter closing: 30 minutes before your flight's departure time.
- Priority lane: A priority lane is available for Premium passengers, allowing quick access to the check-in counters.
At Bora Bora Airport
Bora Bora Airport is located on a small islet (motu). Air Moana offers a free shuttle boat service between the airport and the village of Vaitape. This shuttle departs from the Vaitape dock 1 hour and 15 minutes before the flight's departure time.

Connecting time between two flights
Air Moana recommends that you observe the following connecting times between two flights :
Seats Assigned at Check-in
With Air Moana, your seat is assigned as soon as you check in at the counters. This eliminates any stress or confusion during boarding, as your seat on board will be ready and waiting for you.
In PREMIUM, the seat is assigned upon online check-in.
Boarding
After completing check-in and passing through security checks (only at Tahiti-Faa’a), proceed to the boarding gate for your flight.
- Mandatory boarding gate check-in: 20 minutes before your flight's departure time
These times are provided as a guideline, and we recommend arriving at the boarding area early to ensure a smooth boarding process for all passengers. Late arrivals may result in denied boarding.
For passengers with priority boarding, our ground staff will invite you to proceed to the boarding gate before the general boarding process begins.
To ensure everyone’s comfort, our staff organizes boarding by row numbers. Please approach the gate when your row is called.
