Raiatea airport
Raiatea Airport is located in the north of the island, just a few minutes from the main village of Uturoa. It serves as the air gateway for the islands of Raiatea and Taha’a. The flight from Tahiti takes only 45 minutes, and it’s just a short 20-minute flight to Bora Bora. The landing takes place at the northern tip of the island with a view of the sister island, Taha’a.

Raiatea Airport (RFP) is located about 3 kilometers from the main village of Uturoa. To reach the island of Taha’a, you need to take a boat (taxi boat, hotel shuttle, or ferry service).

Check-In and Boarding
Make sure to arrive at the airport early enough to avoid any rush and ensure a smooth departure. For those coming from Taha’a, plan your transfers to the airport in advance to ensure arrival before the check-in deadlines.
Check-In
- Check-in counters open : 1 hour 30 minutes before your flight’s departure time.
- Check-in counters close : 30 minutes before your flight’s departure time.
Boarding
- Boarding starts : 20 minutes before your flight’s departure time.
- Boarding closes : 5 minutes before your flight’s departure time.
These times are indicative, and we recommend arriving at the boarding area early enough to facilitate the boarding process for all passengers. If you are late, you may not be allowed to board.
