Hiva Oa Airport is located in the heart of the island. The flight from Tahiti to Hiva Oa takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. After landing, it takes about a 15-minute drive to reach the main village of Atuona.
Airport location
Hiva Oa Airport (AUQ) is located away from Atuona. It is about 10 kilometers from the village center. Although taxis are often available upon flight arrivals and a car rental service is nearby, it is recommended to check with your accommodation for transfer arrangements.
